Overview

Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider (FT) Lebanon

The Heart and Vascular Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock is seeking a motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA), with a strong interest and background in Cardiology to join our Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Program. The candidate would be joining a diverse team comprised of 5 EP physicians, 4 Advanced Practice providers, cardiac device nurses, and technicians.  The candidate will participate in the education of general Cardiology and EP Fellows.

The APP would be dedicated to providing both inpatient and ambulatory clinical consultation and follow-up, helping to provide and coordinate high-quality care and education to cardiac patients and their families as part of a multidisciplinary team and with the support of a staff electrophysiologist. The candidate would be able to effectively collaborate with and communicate well with all members of the treatment team in the management of cardiac patients. This position allows a variety of responsibilities, including the assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex heart rhythm conditions, including pre-and post-ablation atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia patients, as well as managing patients with cardiac implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers and implantable defibrillators. Substantial onboarding and training will be provided. The individual selected will act as a patient advocate, assuring that all aspects of the patients' and families' needs are met and fragmentation of care is prevented.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the scope of practice includes a teaching role and participation in quality improvement activities. As the home to the Dartmouth Institute and Geisel School of Medicine, opportunities for academic appointment and advancement exist for motivated providers.

This position hosts hours primarily between 7a-5:30p, four days a week with only 1:7 rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
