Child and Adolescent Psychologist (PhD, PsyD)

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to add a full-time Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychologist to our team in Lebanon.
In this role, you will focus on providing comprehensive care for patients in a 6-bed adolescent inpatient psychiatry unit as part of an interdisciplinary care team. The inpatient psychiatry service will care for youth 12-17 years old, including patients with co-morbid medical issues. This role will oversee the development of therapeutic programming and supervision of other therapy staff. Areas of focus for therapeutic interventions will include trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy strategies, behavioral modification and strong family engagement. Additionally, you will offer psychological consultation to a small service of children and adolescents admitted to the pediatric service.
As an important member of The Department of Psychiatry, you will also contribute to the training of mental health clinicians across multiple disciplines. This role includes the regular supervision of trainees rotating on the inpatient unit and consultative services, including child psychology interns and fellows, child psychiatry fellows, psychiatry residents, and medical students. The ideal candidate will have relevant clinical experience, be an enthusiastic teacher, and have strong supervisory and management skills, all of which are important in this role. Prior experience working in the inpatient psychiatry setting is preferred.
