Overview

Dartmouth Health is looking for a neurohospitalist to join our growing Department of Neurology. 

 

This position is based at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) located in Lebanon, NH. DHMC is New Hampshire’s only Level I trauma center and serves over 2 million people throughout northern New England. Our flagship academic medical center is a 400+ bed tertiary and quaternary care facility and was ranked among America’s top 100 hospitals for 2025 by Becker’s Hospital Review.

 

Overview:

  • 7 on/ 7 off schedule
  • Collaborate with resident-led teams and multidisciplinary specialists to optimize patient care and outcomes
  • Academic appointment commensurate with experience
  • Opportunities for research and QI initiatives
  • Position can be either 100% neurohospitalist or split between the neurohospitalist and stroke teams.

 

Requirements:

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency
  • Board certification/eligibility in neurology; open to additional sub-specialty certification
  • Ability to obtain/maintain New Hampshire medical license
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills
  • Passion for educating patients and families as well as medical students, residents, and fellows
