Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock is seeking an Academic Inpatient Psychiatrist to join its faculty at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center located in beautiful northern New England. This role is a leadership position as a medical director of a 24 bed adult psychiatry unit. Clinically, you will lead one of 3 interdisciplinary teams caring for 8-12 voluntary and involuntary patients. You will supervise psychiatry residents and medical students on a daily basis as a major component of this role.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled administrator, clinician and enthusiastic teacher. Experience working in an inpatient psychiatry setting as an attending is preferred. Candidates should be board certified in Psychiatry. Academic rank at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and salary will be commensurate with experience.
