Ophthalmologist - Medical Retina Specialist

Cheshire Medical Center – Keene, NH

 

The Cheshire Medical Center Section of Ophthalmology in Keene, New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Retina Specialist to join our staff.

 

The successful candidate will assume care of patients in an existing general ophthalmology practice with a high demand for retina services from the Monadnock region and eastern Vermont. The ideal candidate will have completed either a medical retina fellowship or a surgical retina fellowship with a primary interest in treating medical retina. Board certification or eligibility is required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, endophthalmitis, vitreous hemorrhage, retinal tears, and other retinal pathology.
  • Perform procedures including intravitreal injections and lasers.
  • Provide some general ophthalmology care, general call coverage and also triage ophthalmic emergencies.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology. Candidates must have completed or will soon complete training in Ophthalmology in an ACGME-accredited residency
  • Must obtain and maintain a medical license in the state of New Hampshire
